Let’s Talk Lippies
All of these have a very creamy formula when applying and dry down matte. The best part about liquid lipsticks is that they don’t move. You can eat, drink and live in the lip without it ending up all over your face. With that being said, you don’t want to put them on dehydrated lips. If your lips are moisturized, you won’t have to worry about your lippie feeling or looking super dry. I almost always apply a balm of some sort before I start my makeup if I’m planning to wear a liquid lipstick. That gives my lips time to moisturize before applying the lipstick. Once I finish the rest of my face, I wipe away any residue of the balm before applying the lipstick. You want the lipstick applying directly to your lips so it will stay put all day!
Okay so we’ve covered my top three lip colors and some of my favorite brands and go-to products! Have you tried (or do you want to try) any of the lippies I mentioned? Did I miss any of your faves? Comment below and let me know what else I should add to this list! I’m always looking for new favorites!
As I mentioned above, I know some of these can be a little pricey, depending on your budget. If you see a shade that you like, but want something more budget friendly, I’d recommend doing a quick Google search with the product you like + dupe. (Dupe: a duplicate of a higher end product at a lower price point.) Almost everything has a dupe these days. Drug store companies will develop shades similar to popular high end products. It’s a great way to experiment with new colors without the commitment of spending $35 for one lipstick. Everybody wins!
